Unfortunately, the Many Glacier campground, the one we were aiming for, filled up about a half hour after we left Helena, while we were still two and a half hours away. So we “settled” for the St. Mary campground and a site with some decent views.
Of course, the rain decided to join us here and we set up the tent, made dinner, and prepared packs for tomorrow, alternating between trying to stay in the car during the rain and using the dry times as best we could. Now we’re sitting in the car, waiting for me to finish writing so we can go get cozy in the tent for the night. It’ll be cold, but not as cold as our first night in Grand Teton.
