Today had promise, but fell apart. We woke up to a massive rain storm, in a rainforest – whodathunkit? We packed up the stuff inside the tent, and then dismantled the tent under the rainfly to try to stay as dry as possible.

Day 13 – Mountains, Ocean, and Rain Forest
After the amazing moonlit silhouettes of the Olympic range last night, the views did not disappoint from Deer Park. We got a pretty good start on the day, although we missed sunrise (which may not have been all that great since it was overcast). Day 13 – Olympic!
While we took today easier, today was a nice, albeit, slight return to our routine. And we were able to see much of Olympic National Park.
Day 12 – Burned Out on Beauty
We got a late start to the day. We had planned on that. I had to do some work, so that ate time. Also, we applied heat to my knee last night, and that only made it worse. I woke up at 2AM with pain and swelling. The swelling persisted most of the day.
